Notice to Law Enforcement, Carriers, Regulatory Officials, and Third Parties
Carolina Cure is a lawful hemp company. Carolina Cure operates in good faith under applicable federal and North Carolina hemp laws, and all Carolina Cure products are offered only as lawful hemp or hemp-derived products.
Carolina Cure does not sell marijuana. Carolina Cure does not knowingly possess, manufacture, transport, distribute, or sell controlled substances. Carolina Cure's products are represented, sourced, documented, transported, and offered as lawful hemp products.
Federal law distinguishes hemp from marijuana. Under 7 U.S.C. § 1639o, hemp is Cannabis sativa L. and any part of that plant, including derivatives, extracts, cannabinoids, isomers, acids, salts, and salts of isomers, that meets the applicable federal THC threshold. Under 21 U.S.C. § 802(16), marijuana does not include hemp as defined by 7 U.S.C. § 1639o.
North Carolina law also distinguishes hemp from marijuana. Under N.C. Gen. Stat. § 90-87, hemp and hemp products are legally distinct from marijuana, and North Carolina's definition of marijuana does not include hemp or hemp products. Under N.C. Gen. Stat. § 90-94, tetrahydrocannabinols found in hemp or hemp products are excluded from Schedule VI controlled substances.
Because lawful hemp and unlawful marijuana can look and smell similar, appearance, aroma, assumption, or field impression alone does not determine whether a plant, product, package, shipment, or business activity involves marijuana or a controlled substance. Lawful status depends on applicable law, product documentation, laboratory analysis, and the specific facts of the product or activity.

Carolina Cure does not consent to any unlawful search, seizure, destruction, detention, opening, sampling, forfeiture, or removal of its plants, products, inventory, shipments, packages, records, devices, vehicles, proceeds, or property.
This notice is not intended to obstruct lawful official duties. Carolina Cure will cooperate with lawful process while expressly preserving all constitutional, statutory, administrative, civil, and equitable rights.
Before taking enforcement action, detaining products, stopping shipments, opening packages, seizing inventory, destroying property, contacting customers, contacting vendors, or alleging that Carolina Cure hemp products are marijuana or controlled substances, contact Carolina Cure:

Preservation Demand
If any Carolina Cure product, plant, package, shipment, record, device, vehicle, inventory, proceeds, or property is detained, opened, sampled, tested, seized, removed, or otherwise interfered with, Carolina Cure demands preservation of all physical evidence, digital evidence, chain-of-custody materials, communications, recordings, reports, testing materials, and related documentation.
No Carolina Cure product, plant, package, shipment, record, device, vehicle, inventory, proceeds, or property should be destroyed, altered, consumed, transferred, discarded, or forfeited without notice to Carolina Cure and a lawful opportunity to challenge the action.
